What Membership Offers

Whether you’re picking up your first reed or have been weaving for decades, GBB has something for you:

• Monthly meetings with member-presented programs and project showcases

• Monthly newsletter to keep you connected and inspired

• Classes and workshops — from foundational weaving techniques to special sessions with guest instructors. Members pay less for workshops than non-members.

• Grants of up to $100 to anyone who is a member in good standing and has at least 6 months of active membership in the group. The purpose of providing grants is to encourage an exploration in contemporary basketry and/or preserving the traditions of basketry. More info.

• A lending library stocked with books, videos, and patterns for members to borrow

• A welcoming community that embraces all skill levels and encourages every weaver to grow

• Natural and recycled materials — we explore the full range of what basketry can be

• Annual retreat at Lake Tahoe (Spring) and Virginia City (Fall)— both highlights for members

Membership Dues: $25/year ($10 additional per year for Family membership)
